Say what does P2 stand for I keep seeing, P1,P2 and P3 places but I have no idea what that means! Yea my son added a tablet in place of the factory radios and cd player. Seemed to be ok for ohh, I’d say, Cpl years except blue tooth was finicky and he did not hook up an antenna for radio stations. I was going to put my serius radio ap on but did not know how to get my radio code of this tablet in order for serius to sync. Anyway, about three weeks ago my window on drivers side, door lock on DS and mirror on DS all quit, like it happened gradually throughout the day. Noticed foggy windows from inside. I felt carpet under format and it seemed a bit damp. I pulled back foam packing about 6 inches thick on the floor wells/foot wells and it was drenched! All my harness’s under about 4 inches of water from front to back on both DS and PSide. So I had to remove seats and all carpeting with foam and suck out approx 12 gallons of water. Well, now my new to me sound system or google play with Bluetooth capable for you tube and Amazon music and Spotify, all for nothing now, I have checked all fuses ran testers to and from everything went through protocol to find break in MOST circuits only to find out that yes I have an open circuit and no my door lock, endow, and mitre are not fixed yet. However now the stereo does not power up, I’ve racked my brain through this trouble shoot! And my son would say to me it’s prolly something I did, well what about the 12 gallons of water all the wiring harness’s sat in for who knows how long. Oh by the way that is another story and I erge people to check their sunroof drain lines that run along side your windshield, both of mine had separated from drain hose and I believe draining all that water in the car and you can’t really tell because floors are crazy deep, so you just don’t see the water. Few other things I had to do to remedy that situation as well!
To carry on with the original topic as do my best to stay on task. It’s a hard thing cause I’m no electrician but I’ve installed my fair share of systems. This Volvo has optical digital speakers communication between cd player and runner! I don’t believe that this system plats very friendly with upgrades, it has to break the optical digital signal and convert into rca connections! It’s not for the meek or amateurs installer, I’m in the troubleshooting prices as we speak. Lots of information on how to hook up tablet and bypass amp however i wanted the amp to still work so I’ve been like I said earlier, at my wits end! Nice to meet you all. Let’s talk tomorrow I have to get car at seats ready to bring my doggies to swim.
