This thread on swede speed outlines the build and all the work done before I purchased the vehicle: https://www.swedespeed.com/threads/1997-850-t5-manual-project-thread.658151/page-13#post-8020526
Prior to my ownership, the following was done to the car in the last 60k miles:
- Full Repaint about 10-12 years ago (To the original color)
- Car was converted to 5 speed manual
- Single mass flywheel
- Ported head with new gaskets
- 20t Turbo with 11 blade billet wheel and angled flange
- Snabb Front Mount Intercooler
- Snabb Rip Kit
- Snabb fresh air pipe
- Snabb short shift kit
- Old style IPD turbo back exhaust
- Front and rear IPD sways
- R manifold
- IPD intake box
- Blue Injectors
- MSD coil
- IPD blue wires
- 3rd row seats (Fair condition but the locking mechanism is broken)
Prior to my ownership, all of the follwing was done in the last 15k miles:
- Silicone vacuum lines
- The car was tuned by Vast to make 15 lbs of boost on a “low boost” tune and around 20 lbs of boost on a “higher boost” tune
- New throttle cable
- IAC cleaned
- Porsche Pierburg TCV
- Brand New Green Injectors
- Brand New Fuel Filter
- Very nice condition child safety seat (OEM Option)
Since then I have done the following:
- Installed newer model 3rd tail light
- All 4 Rotors, pads & OEM Calipers
- Front Brakes were upgraded to the 302mm brackets & rotors
- Brand new OEM parking brake lines and all parking brake components
- New Intake Manifold gasket
- New NGK Iridium Plugs
- CX Racing Coilovers & Swift Spring Helper Springs
- Roof Rails
- Wooden 850 Steering Wheel (Japan model)
- For Bronco Sport Wheels & Sumitomo All Season Tires (I have a set of 16″ OEM Persus wheels with very new snow tires as well, but they do not fit with the upgraded front brakes, so I will include the old hangars in case you wanted to go back at some point, you will need new rotors for that)
- Lots of small interior things (Fixing the shift boot, replacing the wrinkled door card inserts etc.)
- All weather floor mat for the trunk
- Upgraded fuel pump & Wiring to Deatsch Werks DW200 according to Vast Guide
- Upgraded to the newer style exhaust hangar and replaced the old one
- Just replaced radiator and coolant hoses
Oil changes were regularly done every 3 – 4k miles, the last timing belt change was done at 160k miles. Im sure there are things missing that have been done. This is an extremely well sorted and maintained car. A couple things to note about this car. The dash in this car is in good condition however it is warped in the middle over the head unit and it does creak / rattle a little while driving. While this car has been maintained quite well, it is approaching 30 years old. There are some creaks and noises when you drive it. There are some trim pieces that have small cracks and scuffs. The driver and passenger side upholstery is quite worn (I have brand new upholstery for both seats that just needs to be installed). When driving on the highway there is a little window noise which is a sign that a couple of the seals are getting old (I have a new driver side seal that needs to be installed as well). There are a few very small rust spots, one on the hood as well as some tiny ones (appear to be surface rust for now) on the driver side wheel arches. Aside from that, this car is pretty dialed in. The car also pulls to the left a little bit when braking. After doing several tests, my best guess is that it might be due to worn out subframe bushings. I have several brand new parts as well, which I will also supply you with. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I can also send you more photos as needed.
